Page number element properties
Open the Properties view in Document Studio and select a Page number element. The Properties view displays these available properties for page numbers.
General properties
In the All properties tab, these properties are at the top level, in the Metadata, and in the sections.
Type | Value | Description |

Tag | String | Tag name for the element. This property cannot be edited. |
Name | String | The name of the element. |
Description | String | A summary or note about this element. |
Assignment | String | The variable assignments that are done in the element. |
Condition | String | A script that can apply variables or attributes as conditions on the element. |
Target region | String | Writes the current element in the region that you specify. |

Page starting number | Number | You can start the page numbering at a specific page. For example, if you have a title page in this template, you might want to start page numbering on page 2. |

Border properties
In the All properties tab, these properties are located in the
sections.When you have some combination of total page number, page number, or text elements next to each other in a template with border properties applied, the display of the border properties might be affected.
- When one element has a border applied, but the other element does not have a border applied, the border is applied to and encompasses both elements. The border is the height of the text and the width of the page.
- When the same border properties are applied to each element, the same border encompasses both elements
- When different border properties are applied to each element, the border properties of the last element are applied to and encompasses all of the elements.
