You can archive project areas and team areas from within the web client. Archiving a
project area removes it from the list of active project areas. Archiving a team area removes it from
the Team Area Hierarchy section on the project area Overview page.
Before you begin

using a new project area to track its current work. Archiving a project area or team area hides it
in the user interface. However, many parts of the user interface include a Show
Archived option, which enables you to see archived project areas or team areas and their
artifacts.
Procedure

web interface. See Logging in for project administrators and team leads (web).
- In the list of active project areas, hover over a row and click ,
the Archive icon.

Team Area
Hierarchy section of the
Overview page, hover over a team area
and click
.
- Click OK.
- Optional: To manage archived project areas, in the left pane, click
Archived Project Areas. On the Archived Project Areas
page, select an archived project area from the list.

Archived team areas are no longer shown in the Team Area Hierarchy section on the Overview tab of
the project area editor. Archived project areas are not included in the list of project areas shown
when you click the drop-down arrow next to the Home icon, . However, you can access an archived project area by selecting
All Projects from the drop-down menu and then selecting Show
Archived.
