Generating a document-style report without the document generation wizard

You can generate a document-style report from either the Launcher and Document Studio without using the document generation wizard.

About this task

There is no difference in generating document-style reports from the Launcher application or the Document Studio application. However, in the Launcher application, you have the ability to configure details for the document -style report generation in the Document Specification and Properties views.

To generate a document-style report without the document generation wizard, you can select one of these options:

Procedure

  • In the Launcher or Document Studio, click Document Specification > Generate > Generate Document.
  • Click the Generate document-style report icon Generate Document icon in the toolbar.

Results

The document-style report is generated immediately without requiring any of the additional selections that are outlined in this task to be made.

What to do next

Review the information from the document-style report generation in the Console or Problems views to identify issues. After you fix the issues, generate the output again.
