Trial version

The no-charge, 30-day trial version introduces you to the cloud version of Operational Decision Manager.

The trial version is complete and includes the latest features. You use it anonymously and securely, without risk of exposure to users from other organizations. You can take a decision service completely through its development and production lifecycle. The trial platform is fully self-contained, so you cannot connect it to a production application outside the trial tenant.

Note: You can also take advantage of a no-charge, 30-day trial version of IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation. A set of integrated IBM AI software products that includes Operational Decision Manager components, Cloud Pak for Business Automation is designed to help you solve tough operational challenges. For the trial version, see IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation.

Introduction

The trial version gives you an opportunity to work in a tenant in the cloud environment. It contains all the components to create, develop, and deploy a decision service. If you use the trial version with other users from your organization, you can discover the project management features along with the development features.

You can also use a sample client application to call business rules from the included execution server. The client application is included as a download file, and works with the product tutorials. You can see how to connect a decision service to a client application.

The trial version is fully functional. However, you cannot use it to develop rules for production applications at your organization. Along with the tutorials and the sample application, the trial version lets you assess and understand the platform.

Access to the trial version is limited to 30 days. After 30 days, you must register again to continue using the trial version.

To develop decision services in the trial version, follow the information in this documentation. You can also visit the IBM TechXchange Community for tips to make the most of your trial experience. Be aware that there is no customer support for the trial version, and you cannot obtain assistance through the Client Success Portal or IBM® Service Request.
