Product identifier (PRDID) values in Db2 for z/OS

A product identifier (PRDID) is an 8-byte character value that identifies a specific data base product in a distributed data environment.

The format of 8-byte PRDID values is pppvvrrm, with the following parts:
ppp
A three-letter product code. For example:
AQT
IBM® Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS
ARI
Db2 server for VSE and VM
DSN
Db2 for z/OS
HTP
Non-secure HTTP URL connections for Db2 native REST services
HTS
secure HTTPS connections for Db2 native REST services
JCC
IBM Data Server Driver for JDBC and SQLJ
LRT
Connections requesting log records from asynchronous log reader tasks

Db2 for Linux®, UNIX, and Windows

The product version number.

The product release number, which is usually 01 for Db2 for z/OS.

A single letter or numeral (0–9 or A–Z) for the modification level. For Db2 for z/OS, the modification level indicates the function level.

PRDID values for Db2 for z/OS

Supported Db2 for z/OS products use the following PRDID values:

Db2 12 for z/OS

The modification level m indicates a range of Db2 12 function levels:

  • DSN12015 for V12R1M500 or higher.
  • DSN12010 for V12R1M100.
