Version 3.1.12

This section includes the new features and functions that are included in IBM® Db2® Data Management Console v3.1.12.

Monitoring alerts

  • Db2 Data Management Console now supports the Database write suspend state alert that is generated when a database is in a write-suspended state. Users can now enable and configure the properties of the Database write suspend state alert from the monitoring profile of a connected database.

For more information, see Generating alerts.

  • Db2 Data Management Console now supports the STANDBY_RECV_REPLAY_GAP alert that is generated when a predefined threshold is reached in the Db2 HADR metric STANDBY_RECV_REPLAY_GAP. You can now enable and configure the properties of the STANDBY_RECV_REPLAY_GAP alert from the monitoring profile of a connected database.

  • Db2 Data Management Console now consolidates all alerts of the same type on different partitions of a database in a single email. This improvement avoids multiple email notifications from being sent when same types of alerts are triggered on multiple members for a Db2 DPF environment.

Custom alerts

Added a Custom alerts tab on the Jobs page, which allows you to create and edit a custom alert for multiple monitoring profiles. When you create a custom alert from the Jobs page, it is also listed under the Custom alerts tab on the Monitoring profile page. You can associate each custom alert definition with any arbitrary list of database connections that belong to different monitoring profiles. Unlike the custom alerts in the Monitoring profile page, the custom alerts in the Jobs page are not grouped by monitoring profile. Therefore, it is not required to edit or delete the same type of custom alert multiple times under different monitoring profiles.

For more information, see Custom alerts.
