Upgrading to Cognos Analytics for Mobile 11.2.x or later

If you are upgrading from Cognos® Analytics for Mobile 11.1.7 to Cognos Analytics for Mobile 11.2.0 or later, you must uninstall Cognos Analytics for Mobile 11.1.7.

About this task

Starting from version 11.2.0, Cognos Analytics for Mobile is now bundled and installed automatically with Cognos Analytics Client Hosted. If you have Cognos Analytics for Mobile 11.1.7 installed, you must uninstall Cognos Analytics for Mobile 11.1.7 before upgrading to Cognos Analytics for Mobile 11.2.0.

Procedure

  1. Open a cmd.exe terminal.
  2. Use the cd command to navigate to the location of your Cognos Analytics for Mobile installation.
  3. Use the cd command to open the mobile-config directory.
  4. Run the following remove-config command to uninstall and remove the Cognos Analytics for Mobile configuration from IBM® Cognos Analytics: 
    ./mob-config.sh --ca-install-dir "<The path for your Cognos install directory>" --task remove-config
  5. Stop the Cognos Analytics server.
  6. Upgrade to Cognos Analytics 11.2.0.
  7. Run the Cognos Analytics for Mobile uninstaller. The uninstaller can be found in the following location: 
    ~\<your Cognos Analytics for Mobile install path>\uninstall
  8. After the uninstall is completed, delete all Cognos Analytics for Mobile folders.
