You can configure advanced settings for specific dispatcher
services, such as the AgentService. This allows you to specify customized
configuration settings for the service that override the global configuration
settings specified for the IBM Cognos environment.
About this task
You can set advanced settings for a dispatcher service
for the following categories: logging, tuning, and environment.

Procedure

In IBM Cognos Administration, on the
Configuration tab, click Dispatchers and
Services.
- Click the dispatcher name.

In the list of the dispatcher services, find the required service, and in the
Actions column, click the Set properties icon .
- Click the Settings tab.
You
can filter the list of settings by Category.
The category choices are: All, Environment, Logging,
and Tuning.

Define the setting in one of the following ways:
- Find the setting that you want to customize, and type or select a value for the setting in
the space provided.
- If the setting is not listed, for Advanced settings, click the
associated Edit link. In the page that is displayed, select the
Override the settings acquired from the parent entry check box, and add the
setting name and value.
- Click OK.
- To apply the values, stop and restart the IBM® Cognos® services.
