Your agents, data collectors, and plug-ins monitor the resources in your environment. Each agent, data collector, and plug-in has a set of metrics that are grouped into resource types. Metrics are the properties that are being measured and reported by your agents, data collectors, and plug-ins. Metrics make up the key performance indicators that are presented in the resource page widgets and used to create thresholds for conditions that you want to monitor.
