Switching between experiences
IBM Cloud Pak for Data is the foundation for
multiple solutions. If your environment includes multiple solutions, you might need to switch
between experiences to access specific features.
An experience provides focused access to the tools that you need to complete
specific tasks. For example:
- In the Data Product Hub experience, teams can focus on publishing and sharing data products.
- In the watsonx experience, teams can focus on training, validating, tuning, and deploying generative AI solutions.
Each experience has a dedicated home page. The cards that are available on the home page help you get started with the solution and give you quick access to the tools that you need.
To switch between experiences, click the Switch locations icon (
)
in the toolbar:
- If there are multiple solutions installed, you can select a different experience from the menu.
- If there is only one solution installed, there is only one experience in the menu.
Services available in each experience
Use the following table to determine which experiences each service is available in when the service is installed.
- ✓ - The service is available in the experience.
- API - You can see information about the instances that you have access to from the page in all experiences. The instance is available only through API calls.
- Instance - You can access instances that you have access to from the Cloud Pak for Data experience. page in all experiences. The instance opens in the
- Pop-out - You can access the service from the page in all experiences. The service opens in a different browser window.
