Cognos Dashboards uses Watson™ Query integration with IBM Knowledge Catalog so that you can create dashboards on governed virtual data that you published to governed catalogs. For more information, see Enabling dashboards to use governed virtual data. To take advantage of this integration, connect to Watson Query by creating virtual objects instead of adding data from a connection. For more information, see Creating virtual objects in Watson Query.
Specify the Watson Query data source credentials from within a project by selecting the data source itself or by selecting a table that references the data source. From the Authentication method field, select User credentials, then specify a username and password. If you are unable to specify a username and password, clear the Use my platform login credentials field.
