Services that support backup and restore
This information describes which IBM® Cloud Pak for Data components and services support backup and restore.
The following table shows which utility that you can use to back up and restore Cloud Pak for Data components and services.
- Supports OADP backups

This column shows which components and services support backup and restore with the Cloud Pak for Data OpenShift® APIs for Data Protection (OADP) backup and restore utility.
- Supports volume snapshots

This column shows which components and services support creating volume snapshots (on Portworx storage only) with the Cloud Pak for Data volume backup and restore utility.
- Supports volume backups

This column shows which components and services support creating volume backups with the Cloud Pak for Data volume backup and restore utility.
In general, you can use the Cloud Pak for Data OADP backup and restore utility to back up and restore the services that you installed. The Notes column in the table provides details on services that need additional steps to be completed when you use this utility. This column also provides links to service-specific documentation for services that need to invoke their own backup and restore instructions.
