Annotating table fields

To annotate a table field, you must capture data from the column, summary, and additional headers.

Procedure

  1. Select the table field from the field list.
  2. Under Field label, click Draw. If your field does not have a label, go to step 4.
  3. Use the mouse to draw a bounding box around the label for this table field. Make any necessary corrections to the text captured in the label text box.
  4. Under Field value, click Draw.
  5. Use the mouse to draw a bounding box around the entire table, including any summary fields or additional fields.
  6. Click Capture table data.
  7. For each table header, click Draw under Header location. Draw a bounding box around the column header for that column. Repeat this step until all table headers are captured.
  8. Optional: Under First row, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the first row of the table. This helps the model capture the table, especially if grid lines around the rows are not clear, or if the column headers contain multiple lines of text.
  9. For each Summary header:
    1. Under Field label, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the label for this summary header.
    2. Under Field value, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the value for this summary header.
  10. For each Additional header:
    1. Under Field label, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the label for this additional header.
    2. Under Field value, click Draw and draw a bounding box around the value for this additional header.
  11. Click Done to save this field.
  12. For the table field and each header, you can see and edit the aliases for this field. Aliases are alternative names that can help the model identify this field. As you extract data, names that are found in documents are added to this list. Aliases must be unique for each field within a document type.
  13. In the main field list, click Save to save the table field.
