Download apps from App Exchange

You can download apps from the IBM App Exchange to your local system.

Your local system is the system you are using to access the Orchestration & Automation application.

Before you download an app, make sure you have an account on the IBM App Exchange. You must be an IBM Technology Partner (Business Partner) or an IBM employee to download the apps.

Alternatively, you can download the app a ZIP file to another system and copy it to your local system. You can also copy a custom app created by your own team. In these scenarios, you do not need to follow the procedure in this section, instead, see Installing an app.

Note: You can download apps that support the Edge Gateway Kubernetes-based container environment. The Orchestration & Automation application prevents you from installing non-container-based apps.
Complete the following steps to download one or more apps:
  1. If necessary, log on to IBM Cloud Pak for Security and select Application settings > Case Management > Permissions and access from the menu.
  2. Click the Apps tab. If you do not see the Apps tab, you do not have the Apps permissions assigned to your role.
  3. Click Need an App? to go to the IBM Security App Exchange.

  4. Search through the available apps, select an app that you want to install, and then click Download. You need to log in to the App Exchange to complete this step.
  5. Save the file to your system. The app is downloaded to your system as a zip file.
Download additional apps as required and then install the apps as described in Installing an app.
