Using network-attached storage devices with Rational ClearCase

Network-attached storage (NAS) devices provide data storage resources to other hosts on a local area network using a network file system protocol such as the Network File System (NFS) or the Common Internet File System (CIFS). The Administrator's Guide describes how you can use NAS devices to provide storage for VOBs, views, and other IBM® Rational® ClearCase® data. This chapter explains platform-specific features of those NAS devices that are tested and supported for use with Rational ClearCase.

For information on ClearCase support for NAS devices, see technote 272409.
