The value from the USING option is
used to set the reference in the SET option.
Options
- SET(data-area/ptr-ref)
- sets
a pointer reference.
- USING(ptr-ref/data-area)
- supplies
a pointer value.
COBOL example of ADDRESS SET
To
set the address of a structure to a known pointer value:
EXEC CICS ADDRESS SET(address of struc)
