Process Portal
Process Portal is the user interface for participating in processes. Use Process Portal to work on your assigned tasks and collaborate with others to complete your work efficiently. In addition, if you have the associated permission, you can work with process instances, or use dashboards to view and act on the performance of individuals, teams, and processes.
IBM® Business Process Manager Advanced provides a set of widgets that you can use to participate in processes. You can use the Human Task Management widgets to build your own customized spaces. You can configure each of the widgets and combine them with other widgets to build spaces that reflect the roles and user interactions in your organization. These spaces can provide a single, federated user experience for participating in processes and tasks from multiple IBM Business Process Manager systems, or across multiple process servers.
- Process Performance
- Use this dashboard to manage a business process and its instances; it shows the status of the active instances of particular processes in your organization. You can act on individual process instances to resolve issues, such as bottlenecks (for example, you might change the projected path or due date for an instance).
- For example, you might use this dashboard to act on a process instance and change its projected path or due date.
- Team Performance
- Use this dashboard to manage work for a team; it shows the status of the tasks for teams for which you are the designated team manager. You can manage the work load for the team and individual (for example, changing the due date or the priority of a task).
Process Portal is highly customizable and allows you to create a user interface that incorporates the look at feel of your organization's other tools and collateral. For example, you can customize the login page of Process Portal so that it has the logo and colors of your company. You can also customize the theme (a theme defines the overall structure, appearance, and behavior of Process Portal), the banner at the top of the window, and the footer.
Because it's critical to be able to search business data, Process Portal has a robust search capability. You can control which business data is searchable, and you can create saved searches that help Process Portal users increase efficiency (for example, a search might provide users with customized views of their tasks to include specific business data).
