Use the Integrated Inbox template to create a space for
people who need to work with both IBM® Business Process Manager tasks
and IBM Case Manager work
items. Users of this space can work on tasks and work items from their
inbox.
This template contains widgets from
IBM Business Process Manager. To
create the integrated inbox space, your system environment must meet
the following prerequisites:
- IBM Case Manager is
installed and configured.
- Cross-cell security is set up and a single sign-on is supported
across IBM Business Process Manager and IBM Case Manager.
- Federation domains are configured for IBM Business Process Manager and IBM Case Manager.
- Query tables, saved searches, and in-basket queries are available
for the tasks and work items that are to be displayed in the inbox.
- A Solution Space is configured in IBM Case Manager.
This template creates a space with the following pages:

the widgets in the
Inbox page and it describes
the default actions that users can perform in the widgets.

Inbox |
Displays a complete list of tasks and work items;
both those that are assigned to the user and those that are unassigned
and available to work on. Users can perform the following actions:- Work on and complete items in the inbox by selecting them in the
inbox and then the Open action. If the items
are tasks, they are opened in the Task Information widget
on the Work on Tasks page. If the items are
work items, a Solution Space opens in a new browser window. When items
are completed, they are removed from the inbox.
- Return items to the set of unassigned items by selecting them
in the inbox and then the Return action.
- Assign items to other users by selecting them in the inbox and
then the Transfer action
- Filter and sort by columns to best assess the available tasks.
- Combine filters of multiple columns, and pin filters for subsequent
use.
- Accept unassigned items to work on by selecting them in the inbox
and then the Accept action. If the items are
tasks, they are opened in the Task Information widget
on the Work on Tasks page. If the items are
work items, a Solution Space opens in a new browser window.

Task Information |
Displays information about a task that you selected
in the Inbox widget. Users can perform the following
actions:- Work on a task to complete and submit it. The task tab is closed.
- Return the current task to the set of unassigned tasks. The task
tab is closed.
- Switch between tasks that are being worked on simultaneously.
- If applicable for the task, save the current state of the work
on the task.
- See detailed information about a task by switching to the Details section.
- If applicable for the task, view and add notes associated with
the task by switching to the Notes section.
- If applicable for the task, create subtasks to initiate work that
the completion of the task depends on, and check the status of these
subtasks, by switching to the Related tasks section.
