You can configure the Workforce Insights event emitter to capture workforce-related events and send them to IBM® Business Automation Insights for analysis.

Before you begin:

Business Automation Insights must be installed and configured in your environment. See Installing Business Automation Insights.
Kafka must be configured and accessible for event streaming.

About this task

The Workforce Insights event emitter captures workforce-related events from your IBM Business Automation Workflow deployment and sends them to Business Automation Insights for workforce analytics and insights.

Procedure

Review the Workforce Insights event emitter configuration requirements in the Cloud Pak for Business Automation documentation.

The configuration steps and parameters for the Workforce Insights event emitter are documented in the Cloud Pak for Business Automation documentation. See Workforce Insights event emitter configuration .
Edit the custom resource (CR) file for your Business Automation Workflow deployment to add the Workforce Insights event emitter configuration.

Follow the configuration instructions provided in the Cloud Pak for Business Automation documentation to configure the appropriate parameters in your CR file.
Save the CR file and apply the changes to your deployment.

Verify that the Workforce Insights event emitter is processing events.

Check the logs of the Business Automation Workflow pods to confirm that the Workforce Insights event emitter is running and processing events.

Results

The Workforce Insights event emitter is now configured and will capture workforce-related events from your Business Automation Workflow deployment. The events are sent to Business Automation Insights for workforce analytics and insights.
