Searching in the dashboard
Natural language query can be flexible and natural in how actual queries are worded. An explanation of the interpretation is restated in the results to ensure that the query was understood correctly. A variety of sample phrasings is provided, along with the supported variations. Keep your phrases simple and include context so that the correct fields are searched.
- Document type
- Document identifier
- Date and date ranges
- Order status
- Line item description
- UPC and part number searches
- Shipment info searches
Start with the simplest query with the fewest constraints to return a reasonable number of results and add more constraints to narrow the results to find what you want. You can use partial sentences without verbs, only including the specific terms to search for. Capitalization is ignored.

- A single single-quote character is used as shorthand for feet, for example:
orders with description 10' poles. - A single double-quote character is used as shorthand for inches, for example:
orders with description 5/8" bolt.
A single single-quote character can be used for contractions or possessive notation, for example:
orders with description Almo's glue. You can also use quotes in a set of quotes
(single or double).
The use of wildcard characters within quotes is currently not supported.
Queries with multiple constraints can be constructed using natural language, such as:
- invoiced orders with stainless steel oven from 13th august 2020
- show me purchase orders from august with status invoiced
- shipments with item description disc brakes from 2020 june
- Show me edifact INVOIC
- Show me edifact ORDERS
