Transferring code list check-out

You can transfer the check-out that you placed on a code list to another user. The Transfer check out function is available after check out until production deployment or submit for manual deployment to production. function is only available if the user who checked out the code list uploaded a revised version of it.

About this task

You might need to use the Transfer check out function in the user interface in various scenarios. For example, a user checks out the code list but needs another user to revise and upload it. Another example is when a user checked out and uploaded a revised code list. However, that user is not available and needs another user to modify the code list.

A user can transfer a code list that they checked out to another user. A company administrator (admin) can transfer a code list that they checked out and can also transfer the check out of one user to another user in the company. IBM Support can transfer a check-out from one user to another user in the same company. IBM Support can also transfer the item to themselves or to another IBM Support to troubleshoot the item.

Important: The Transfer check out function is available after check out until production deployment or submit for manual deployment to production. If the owner of the checked out code list did not do any deployment, the IBM Support or company administrator (admin) can use the Undo check out function to return to the code list page.
