General installation and upgrade information

The Installing section provides a quick reference to the installation and upgrade process for Sterling B2B Integrator followed by the detailed process. The installation and upgrade processes both include downloading installation items, completing prerequisites, preparing systems, running the installer, and completing the post-installation configurations.

Installing Sterling B2B Integrator

You can install Sterling B2B Integrator using any of the following methods.

Prerequisite knowledge

Before you begin the installation or upgrade, you should be knowledgeable on the following topics:
  • Operating system on which you plan to install
  • Application servers
  • Database administration
  • System Requirements for this release of Sterling B2B Integrator
  • VI or another text editor for the Unix/Linux operating system
  • Decrypt database passwords in the configuration files. For more information, see Managing database passwords.
