API Connect V10 Reserved overview
IBM® API Connect V10 Reserved offers an individual API Connect instance that runs on IBM-managed infrastructure and provides a single-tenant environment at a lower cost, and with more control over your environment, than a traditional cloud-based offering.
V10 Reserved is a separate API Connect deployment for a single customer that is hosted in the cloud by IBM. Although V10 Reserved is deployed for a single customer, it is not custom and follows a standard configuration.
- Common login with other IBM Cloud services using IBMid.
- Isolation from others who are using the public service.
- Managed, monitored, and operated by the API Connect operations team.
- Deployed across multiple servers within the datacenter-zone for resilience.
- Optionally deployed as a High Availability (HA) deployment with a 99.95% SLA, for an additional cost.
When you order API Connect Reserved, you can select a single-zone deployment or a multi-zone deployment with the purchase of an additional part. The single data center is best for smaller instances. The data is still backed up periodically, but it does not have full geographic redundancy from different data centers within the region. The following diagrams illustrate the architect of the single-zone and multi-zone deployments.

Recovery objectives
- Recovery Point Objective (RPO) - 24 hours
- Recovery Point Objective (RPO) is the point in time relative to the failure, which represents the maximum anticipated loss of data changes in the event of a failure. Data changes preceding the failure or disaster by at least this time period are preserved by recovery processing.
- Recovery Time Objective (RTO) - 24 hours
- Recovery Time Objective (RTO) is the length of time that it takes to recover from an outage (scheduled, unscheduled, or disaster), and resume normal operations for an application or a set of applications.
