- Updated information about logical volume encryption in the following topics:
- Added information about the acfo command. The acfo command manages the tuning parameters of the Advanced Crypto Facility (ACF).
- Added information about the ntp_ssw command that is used to switch between network time protocol (NTP) version 3 and version 4. Also, updated the ntpd4, ntpdate4, and ntp-keygen4 commands.
- Added information about the link-time optimization options in the ld command.
- Added information about the nw_sessions flag in the rpvutil command.
- Added information about the -S flag in the nxstat command.

- Updated information about configuration files in the sendmail command.
- Added information about the Digital Signature Policy setting that ensures the software packages are not altered before installation. For more information, see the BOS installation options and bosinst.data control_flow stanza descriptions topic.
- Updated the emgr, installp, and trustchk commands with information about what happens when the Trusted Execution (TE) policy is turned on.
- Added information about the Serial over Ethernet device driver. You can create virtual serial device and teletype devices in the AIX logical partitions by using an Ethernet Device Server (EDS). The soestat command displays the Serial over Ethernet (SoE) driver information and statistics.
- Added information about support for multiple iSCSI software initiators in the following topics:
- Added information about the zlibNX library in the Data compression by using the zlibNX library topic and added information about the Nest accelerators (NX) in the Nest accelerators topic. The zlibNX library is an enhanced version of the zlib compression library, which supports hardware-accelerated data compression and decompression. The AIX NX framework uses the zlibNX library to perform various GZIP functions.
- Added information about Adding or removing Public Key Cryptography Standards #11 (PKCS#11) slots and tokens.
- Added information about what happens when you refresh Internet Key Exchange (IKE) daemons in the Maintaining the IP security configuration topic.
- Added information about preferring the writer-thread over a reader-thread to get the pthread read/write locks in the Using read/write locks topic and the pthread_rwlock_attr_setfavorwriters_np or pthread_rwlock_attr_getfavorwriters_np Subroutine topic.
- Added information about what happens to the logical partition (LPAR) when paging space is exhausted in the LPAR failure when paging space is exhausted topic.

- rw_timeout: Specifies the time, in seconds, that a SCSI command is allowed for completion each time it is issued to a storage device.
- min_rw_to: Specifies smallest value that is allowed for the rw_timeout attribute.
- rw_max_time: Specifies an approximate maximum amount of time, in seconds, to complete each I/O operation.
- Updated the Chinese (Hant) information in the Unicode encoded languages and locales in AIX table in the Supported languages and locales topic.
