The following is a summary of the updates that are made to the Commands topic collection:
- Updated SMB version 3.0.2 information in the smbcstat command, smbctune command, and mount command.
- Added information about the following SMB commands: lssmbcmnt command, mksmbcmnt command, chsmbcmnt command, and rmsmbcmnt command.
- Added information about the ntp_ssw command that is used to switch between network time protocol (NTP) version 3 and version 4. Also, updated the ntpd4, ntpdate4, and ntp-keygen4 commands.
- Added information about the nw_sessions flag in the rpvutil command.
- Added information about the link-time optimization options in the ld command.

The following is a summary of the updates that are made to the Commands topic collection:
- Added information about the following new commands:
- The hdcryptmgr command manages the data encryption of the logical volumes.
- The keysvrmgr command manages the key server entries when the encrypted logical volume uses the key server as key protection method.
- The cdpd daemon controls the Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) incoming data packets or messages from physically connected Cisco devices.
- The cdpctl command configures the cdpd daemon and the network interfaces of the AIX logical partition.
- The create_ova command creates an open virtual appliance.
- The rpvutil command configures a mirror pool in the remote physical volume (RPV) client of Geographic Logical Volume Manager (GLVM).
- Updated information in the following commands:
- Updated information about new SMB version 3.0.2 in the smbcstat command, smbctune command, and mount command.
- Updated information about logical volume encryption in the mkvg, mklv, lsvg, lslv, cplv, and varyonvg commands.
- Added information about the -G and -g flags in the rpvstat command.
- Added information about the -L flag in the tr command. You can use the -L flag to define a character range.
- Updated information about the extended path status fields in the lsmpio command. Additionally, added information on NVMe Extended Status values.
- Added information about the shrink operation enhancement in the JFS2 file system in the chfs command.
- Added information about when the fold command uses the standard input. Also, added information about the File and INPUT FILES parameters in the fold command.
- Added information about what happens when the standard error is displayed on the terminal and the standard output is neither displayed on the terminal, nor sent to the output file specified by the user, in the nohup command.
- Added a note about when the head command uses the standard input.
- Added information about the -L and -P flags in the ln command.
- Updated the Exit Status information in the patch command.
- Added information about the hdrcharset extended header record in the pax command.
- Added information about the soreuseport_lb network tunable parameter in the no command.
- Updated information about the a, A and f, F items in the printf command.

The following is a summary of the updates that are made to the Commands topic collection:
- Updated information about configuration files in the sendmail command.
- Updated information about what happens when the Trusted Execution (TE) policy is turned on, in the following commands:
- Added information about the soestat command. The soestat command displays the Serial over Ethernet (SoE) driver information and statistics.
- Added information about the cpiscsi command. The cpiscsi command copies the iSCSI target configuration from an initiator device to another initiator device.
- Added information about refreshing the
syslogd
subsystem in the ike command. - Added the -L flag to the lpartstat command.
- Added the -g and -k flags to the lscluster command.
- Added npsassert to the -h flag in the vmo command.
- Added dfreq option to the -y flag in recording mode in the nmon command.
- Added the nPagesPerRBNACluster option to the mount command. The nPagesPerRBNACluster changes the minimum number of pages that are kept in memory before writing them out to a disk. A higher value means more data is kept in memory before being written out to a disk.
- The mkcluster
command -c flag now supports the
4kdisk
capability word. The cluster must be able to support a 4k-block disk as repository and backup repository disk. - Added information about the -p flag in the chcluster and mkcluster commands. The -p flag specifies a SAN shared storage.
- Added information about the dk_closed_path_recovery tunable parameter to the ioo command. The dk_closed_path_recovery tunable parameter enables or disables the support for recovering disk paths that were in the failed state at time of disk closing.
- Added information about the -o flag in the lsmpio command. The -o flag indicates that the AIX disk driver attempts to open all paths that are associated with specified disks.
