Known issue - Announcement readers often search for announcement letters or sales manuals by product ID (PID). IBM Documentation has been indexed to allow for this. For example, for the PID 5655-MGU, you can enter the PID in the search bar on the Announcement home page or from the IBM Docs search page. However, due to an issues (that is being investigated) with IBM masthead search parsing numbers before and after "hyphens", the search results returns any document that has those numbers before or after the hyphen in the PID. While this is being investigated, simply follow the same rules as you would for isolating a search keyword on any other search engine by putting hyphens around the PID. For example, search on 5655-MGU yileds 11K results, search on "5655-MGU" yields 42 results.

Note: searching by PID means you will see all sales manuals or announcement letters associated with that PID, not just a singular number

To access archived announcements (announcements published prior to 2020):

  1. Navigate to the IBM Docs Announcements home page
  2. From the left nav, click Search archived announcement letters. This opens the IBM Docs search results page and displays all archived announcements.
  3. You can sort by date or enter a date range.

Note: Some of these letters were originally created in earlier versions of HTML and may have formatting issues. You also can download the PDF for these older announcements.
