Configuring the Contract Summary

The contract summary consists of the name, number, and version of the contract. It also contains brief information about the internal and external parties, attachments, relationships, and various activities of the contract.

Procedure

To configure the contract summary, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Contract Summary tab, click the Configure Contract summary icon .
  2. Select a field type from the list. All fields for the selected field type are displayed in the Available fields column.
  3. To add fields to the Selected fields column, complete the following steps.
    1. Select a field from the Available fields column.
    2. Press and hold the Ctrl key to select multiple fields.
    3. Move the selected fields to the Selected fields column. To move all fields, click the Add All icon.
    4. To remove selected fields, select the fields in the Selected column, and click the Remove Selected icon.
    5. Change the order of the selected fields by selecting the field, and clicking the Move Up or Move Down icons.
    Note: If you do not select any fields, a message to configure the settings is displayed.
  4. Separate two or more fields with a straight line by selecting the field after which you want to add the separator, and clicking Separator.
  5. Add text between two fields in the summary by selecting the field after which you want to add the text box and clicking Small text or Large text. You can add 100 characters for the small text and 1000 characters for the large text.
  6. Repeat the steps for the required Field types. The modified/replaced clauses or selected clauses field types are not available for filed contracts or amendments.

    When you add these field types for other contracts, the following check boxes are available for these two fields.

    • Display contents of the selected clauses
    • Display contents of the replaced clauses
    • Display contents of the modified clauses
  7. To select a term to display in the summary, click the Select Term icon .
  8. Click OK.

Results

The fields are displayed according to the configuration settings on the Summary tab.
