Enabling Kerberos

IBM® Business Automation Insights supports connection to Kafka and HDFS services that are secured with Kerberos authentication.

About this task

You can choose to enable Kerberos authentication independently for Kafka and HDFS, but the same Kerberos principal is used for both.

Procedure

  1. Set the kerberos.realm, kerberos.kdc, kerberos.principal, and kerberos.keytab properties. For a reference table of Kerberos parameters, see Kerberos parameters.
  2. Enable the services for Kerberos authentication by using the kerberos.enableForKafka and kerberos.enableForHDFS properties.
