Configuring HDFS long-term storage

To manage how data is stored, you can change from the Helm command line the value of some parameters that you set at initial configuration.

Before you begin

Set up your HDFS configuration as indicated in Preparing to use HDFS.

About this task

When you first install IBM® Business Automation Insights, you set the Apache Flink parameters for HDFS storage through the IBM Business Automation Configuration Container interface: Storage batch size, Inactive bucket threshold, Inactive bucket check interval, Storage Bucket URL.

When you later update your deployed IBM Business Automation Insights configuration, you can change the values of the equivalent flink.batchSize, flink.bucketThreshold, flink.checkInterval, and flink.storageBucketUrl parameters from the Helm command line.

Restriction: The Developer Edition ignores the flink.storageBucketUrl parameter.
