Installing Fluid Query Accelerator on Windows

Use this information to install and configure Fluid Query Accelerator on Windows.

Procedure

  1. Install and configure the native Netezza ODBC driver according to the Netezza documentation: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSULQD_7.2.1/com.ibm.nz.datacon.doc/c_datacon_installing_uninstalling_client_sw.html
  2. Download the Fluid Query Accelerator package from FixCentral, for example, nz-fluidquery-v1.7.2-FqOdbcAcceleratorSetup-v1.0.0.0.zip, and run the .exe file to install.
  3. Run the installer for Fluid Query Accelerator on Windows.
  4. Use the ODBC Data Source Administrator in Windows to configure connection parameters. Configuration parameters on Windows are configured in 32-bit and 64-bit ODBC Data Sources application, just like the native Netezza driver.

Results

The configured ODBC data sources can now be used in GUI tools which support ODBC drivers, for example Advanced Query Tool. They can also be used in the large variety of programming languages, for example, Python.
