Restricting call graph to filter out resources
Starting with IBM® AD 6.1.3, a new option is added to support restricting call graphs to filter out resources in IBM AD Analyze Client.
A new option of Display only programs and a list of resource types are
added.
- If the option of Display only programs is checked, the generated call graph contains only the available programs from your project and the calls between the programs.
- If the option of Display only programs is cleared, you can select the resources that you need from the list. Then, the generated call graph contains only the selected resources if the resources exist in the project.
Important: This option to restrict resources now is visible in the call graph analysis
wizard of Screen Callgraph, Program Callgraph, Transaction Callgraph, and Cross Applications
Callgraph (on one or more projects).
You can set this option both in the Preferences window or in the call graph analysis wizards.
- To set this option in the Preferences window, click
. Then, check the
option of Display only programs or clear the option to select the resources
that you need. Finally, click Apply and Close. Note: The configuration that you made in the Preferences window applies to all the call graph wizards with this capability by default. If you need to change the settings for a certain analysis, you can easily change them in the call graph analysis wizard.
- To set this option in the call graph analysis wizard, check the option of Display only programs or clear the option to select the resources that you need when a call graph analysis wizard is displayed. Then, click Finish.
