Supported operating systems
IBM® AD Batch Server/Configuration Server can be installed
on:
- Windows 10/11 Enterprise (64-bit)
- Windows 10/11 Pro (64-bit)
- Windows Server 2019/2022 Datacenter Edition (64-bit)
- Windows Server 2019/2022 Standard Edition (64-bit)
IBM AD Build/Analyze Client can be installed on:
- Windows 10/11 Enterprise (64-bit)
- Windows 10/11 Pro (64-bit)
- Windows Server 2019/2022 Datacenter Edition (64-bit)
- Windows Server 2019/2022 Standard Edition (64-bit)
IBM® AD Connect for Mainframe can be installed on z/OS® 2.4/2.5.
Supported databases
The following databases are supported:
- Db2® for z/OS version 12.1 and later
- Db2 Standard Edition 11.5.5.x Important: Based on your operating system, it is recommended to download and use one of the following images from the Db2 download page.
- Windows 64 bit, x86, on AMD64 and INTEL EM64T
- Linux® 64 bit, x86-64 on AMD64 and INTEL EM64T
- Linux 64 bit, System Z, System z9® or zSeries
- Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2016/2017/2019/2022
Note:
- Only one relational database repository type is taken into account when creating a
project. The relational database repository types are:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Db2 for z/OS
- Db2 for LUW (Linux, UNIX, and Windows)
- Microsoft SQL Server Standard or Enterprise Edition is required for IBM Application Discovery Microsoft SQL Server repository support.
- Microsoft SQL Server Express® Edition can be used for IBM AD Suite evaluation purposes only.
- For more information about the minimum prerequisite level that is required for a specific database and version, see Supported Databases for IBM Application Discovery.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2014 is only supported when a proper certificate is configured for it. Otherwise, a default self-signed certificate with outdated encryption algorithms is used by Microsoft SQL Server, which might cause connection issues with the server.
