Setting colors and fonts

Use the Terminal Styling Terminal Styling toolbar button to change colors and fonts in the emulator. For each type of field you can set the foreground and background colors. The font setting applies to all field types in the terminal emulator.

To set colors and fonts:
  1. Click the Terminal StylingTerminal Styling toolbar button.
  2. For Basic Color Mapping:
    1. Drop down the field type you want to change. See Field Types for descriptions.
    2. Select the foreground and background colors you want to use.
    3. To save your selections, click Accept Color Changes.
  3. For Font Mapping:
    1. Drop down the Font Mapping list.
    2. Select the font you want to use.
    3. To save your selection, click Accept Font Changes.

Field Types

Normal, Protected: Text, such as field labels, instructions, and status messages, that is displayed at normal intensity and that users cannot change.

Normal, Unprotected: A field that is displayed at normal intensity and that accepts alphanumeric user input, such as user IDs, data set names, or any other user-specified data.

Intensified, Protected: Text, such as field labels, instructions, and status messages, that is displayed at high intensity and that users cannot change.

Intensified, Unprotected: A field that is displayed at high intensity and that accepts alphanumeric user input, such as user IDs, data set names, or any other user-specified data.
