Using the Prompt Configuration window of the Communication Flow Builder, you can create prompts based on a list of shorter more manageable components. By breaking down your prompts into several components, the audio files associated with those components can be utilized elsewhere in the communication flow.
The Prompt Configuration window opens after you create an object in the Communication Flow Builder canvas, and then click the audio icon.
Objects supported within the Prompt Configuration window feature, are the Confirmation, End, Prompt, Statement, and Transfer objects.
At the top right corner of the Prompt Configuration window is a drop down menu. From this menu you can select either Speech or DTMF messages.
The main portion of the Prompt Configuration window contains a list with three columns:
| Column title | Description |
|---|---|
| TTS Interpretation | This is the type of prompt being created or modified. |
| Value | This is the specific value setting given to the prompt type. For instance, if your prompt type is say-as date then your value would be a date, such as February 8, 2005. |
| Audio | This is the audio file for the prompt. When you select an entry in the list, a button appears to the right of the audio file column. When you click this button a file selection dialog box opens. From this dialog box you can select the audio file for your prompt. The Prompt Configuration feature supports AU, ULW and WAV file formats. If the file you select is not in your workspace or included in your project folder, a dialog opens prompting you to save the audio file to the audio folder of your current communication flow. If an audio folder does not exist it will be created for you. If you want to clear the audio file currently listed, and create a new one, select the entry by clicking on the audio file name in the Audio column, and right-click in the same place to open the pop-up menu. Select Clear Audio to clear the audio file listed and enter a new one. |
Below the main listing of prompts, described above, there are three buttons with which you can Add, Delete, and Record prompts. By clicking the Record button you can record an audio prompt with the AU file format using the default format of the voice tools Audio Recorder.
When you have finished creating, modifying, or deleting your prompts, click OK to save and apply your changes. If you want to close the window without saving your changes, click Cancel.
