Abstract for Security Server RACF System Programmer's Guide
This information describes Resource Access Control Facility (RACF®), which is part of the Security Server for z/OS®.
Who should use this information: This information is intended
for MVS™ system programmers or MVS installation personnel responsible
for:
- Maintaining RACF databases
- Writing, testing, and installing RACF exits
- Modifying RACF to satisfy an installation's particular needs
You should be familiar with the information in:
- z/OS Security Server RACF Security Administrator's Guide
- z/OS Upgrade Workflow
- The program directory shipped with z/OS
You should also be familiar with MVS and the z/OS library. In addition, if you use the RACF sysplex communication option, you should be familiar with the Parallel Sysplex® library. If you use the RACF remote sharing facility (RRSF), you should be familiar with APPC and VTAM® or TCP/IP.
