Electronic signature properties

Electronic signature authentication confirms that a person who modifies a record is the same person who logged in to the system. You can use the system properties to manage the electronic signature feature for your organization.

The following table shows the electronic signature properties and their default values:

mxe.allownativeesig Specifies whether electronic signature authentication is enabled. This feature is enabled and enablement should not be changed. 1
mxe.usemasforesig Controls whether Maximo® Application Suite local user credentials are to be used for electronic signature verification. When set to 1, it uses Maximo Application Suite local user credentials. Otherwise, it uses the Maximo Manage electronic signature passkey. Administrators must set the value to 1 to enable the property, only after checking that the respective users have a local Maximo Application Suite user account. 0
mxe.esigresetemailfrom Specifies the email address that sends a message to inform users when their electronic signature key is reset. None. Specify the email address that your organization uses to inform users when their electronic signature key is reset, for example system@example.com.
