Configuring transit duration by using APIs

Transit duration is the time that it takes for a carrier to deliver a package from origin to destination. In addition to the transit duration, transit delay is a temporary delay that occurs on a specific delivery route. You can configure both transit duration and delay by using APIs.

Configuring transit duration and transit delay for a shipping zone

To configure transit duration for a shipping zone, use the Upload transit durations by zones for carrier service API.

Optional: You can also use this API to configure the transit delay for a shipping zone.

Then, the transit duration and delay that you configure are applied automatically to the zone components that belong to the shipping zone.
