The Sysplex (by CMAS) view

The Sysplex (by CMAS) view shows the model elements, grouped by CMAS, in each MVS™ image . To open the Sysplex (by CMAS) view, right-click the connection name in the DA Explorer view and click Open Visualization > Sysplex (by CMAS).

In the following example of the Sysplex (by CMAS) view, the MVS image MV2C is shown.

There are three CMAS groups in the image: IYK3Z0RA, MCCMASB, and C510680I. The resources in each CMAS are displayed. The CMAS groups are aligned across all the MVS images. In CICS® TS version 4.1 and earlier, it was possible for a CMAS to manage a MAS in a different MVS image. If your environment uses remote MASs then, they are shown in the MVS image in which they operate.

You can use the search field A screen capture that shows the Find field, the Find next occurrence arrow, and the Find previous occurrence arrow in the main menu bar to find specific model elements. And you can hover over an object to show more information, or double-click an object to open it in the resource-specific editor. Alternatively, you can use Ctrl+mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

You can use the visualization filter menu to control what you see in the view. You can use the filter to hide certain element types, hide CMASs, or change the order in which the CMASs are shown.

You open the filter by clicking Toggle filter panel on the main menu bar. The Toggle filter panel icon In the filter menu, you can select or clear model elements or CMASs to show or hide them in the view.

You can change the order that the CMASs are shown in the view: Highlight a CMAS in the filter menu and then clicking the up or down arrow to change the position of the CMAS in the view.
