Application diagram
An application diagram shows a representation of the application assets and their relationships. Each node in the graph represents an asset of the application, such as batch job, data set, DB2® table, CICS® transaction, CICS TD queue, or IMS transaction.
The diagram is available only if assets are assigned to that application, and the assigned assets include batch jobs and/or transactions.
The Application diagram
shows the following elements:
- The batch jobs and transactions in the application
- Data stores and data sets via their related run units
- Whether a data store is read from and/or written to
- Whether a data set is read from and/or written to
In addition to studying the structure of the application, you can do the following tasks from this page:
- Use the Graph actions, Zoom in, Zoom out, Zoom all (maximum zoom out), to size the graph.
- Move your pointer over a node to see an expansion of the type and the name of the asset.
- Click a node to view the details for that asset. The details page overlays the diagram.
You access the Application diagram from the "Application details" page. The diagram opens in a new window.
