Suggested CARLa program solution – Show ADDED and DELETED user IDs only
![](./carla_182.png)
Notes regarding CARLa code used for generating this added or deleted user profile summary.
-
The first DEFINE statement sets the flag “Add” for each user profile that exists in the active primary RACF database.
-
The similar approach is used to set the flag “Del” for all user prof iles that exist in the unload data set.
-
The output modifier “hdr$blank” or abbreviated “hb” is used to print the header when true, or blanks when the BOOLEAN is false.
-
The “TITLE” is adjusted to indicate that the report shows only the ADDED or DELETED user profiles.
-
In the SUMMARY statement only user IDs that occur only one time (count<2) are included in the report. This threshold causes that user IDs that are only present in the active primary RACF database are reported as added. Similarly, user IDs that are only present in the unload data set are reported as deleted. User profiles that are present in both the active RACF database and unload are suppressed because their count is not smaller than 2.
-
Finally, because in this example the count is always 1, output mod ifier “ND” for n on-display is used to suppress it from the report.
