You can use the Integrated Virtualization Manager to
create a new logical partition that is based on an existing logical
partition on the managed system.
Use any role other than View Only to perform this task.
Use
this task to create a new logical partition that has the same properties
as the selected existing partition, except for partition ID, partition
name, and storage configuration.
To create a logical partition based on an existing partition,
complete the following steps in the Integrated Virtualization Manager:
- From the navigation area, select View/Modify
Partitions under Partition Management. The View/Modify Partitions page is displayed.
- Select the logical partition that you want to use as the
basis for the new logical partition.
- From the Tasks menu, click Create
based on. The Create Based On page is displayed.
- Enter a name for the new partition and determine whether
you want to create virtual disks for the new partition.
- Click OK. The View/Modify
Partitions page is displayed and lists the new partition.
