Business rule mining process

This topic and its subtopics describe a process for mining business rules by using Rational® Asset Analyzer and IBM WebSphere ILOG JRules or IBM WebSphere ILOG Rules for COBOL. It suggests approaches and best practices for using the rule mining tools available in Rational Asset Analyzer.

The rule mining process described in this topic and its subtopics assumes that the Rational Asset Analyzer data repository has already been loaded with IT assets that contain the business rules to be mined. It includes preparation activities and rule mining activities. It provides a general description of the tasks you need to perform to accomplish a rule mining project.
