Entitling IBM Spectrum Conductor
Entitlement (licensing) is required only on the primary host. If you do not have an entitlement file, contact your sales representative.
Before you begin
- You must have your entitlement file: conductor_entitlement.dat or conductoreval_entitlement.dat. If you do not have an entitlement file, contact your sales representative.

What to do next
- Start the cluster. You must have root or sudo to root permission to start the cluster if you
installed IBM Spectrum
Conductor as root. If
you didn’t install as root, you must start the cluster with the cluster administrator ID. The root
user can grant sudo to root permission by using the egosetsudoers.sh
command.

- After you start the cluster, confirm entitlement from the command line or the cluster management console:

- Launch a web browser and clear the browser cache. Check your browser documentation for
details.Note: All users who connect to the cluster management console must clear their browser cache before accessing the console. As a cluster administrator, ensure that you notify all your users about this requirement.

- If you are using a non-evaluation entitlement, you must also set up the IBM® License Metric Tool (ILMT). See Integration with IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT).
You can also set up the primary host for additional configurations, such as failover.
