Selection Field Type

In Emptoris Sourcing, you can select options from the selection field type. Selection field type can be for single selection and for multi selection. For single selection fields, items have to be selected from a drop down list. For multi selection, fields have to be selected from one box and transferred to another box for use.

Other than the basic information required for creating this field type, the table following table lists some additional fields.

Field	Description
Selections List (for Question property and Bid property)	Values entered here are used as options for selection. To create a selection, type a string in the Selections box and then click Add. You can change the sequence using the up and down arrow keys. Values entered here can be translated by using the icon. For certain languages, you may have to select the language from the language bar.
Auto Score (for Question property and Bid property)	If selected, will assign a score automatically to a user response. Selection of this field allows you to add scores for the selection defined. If you have selected Multi selection for the Field type, then you have to specify the Score Mode.
Use In Formulas	Makes the field available for formulas.
Available for List Screens	Makes the field available on the list screens of the respective property such as the, RFx page and so on.
Include on Search Form	Makes the field available in the Search form.
Visibility	Makes the field available for the selected user with specified permissions.
Scope	Makes the field available in the selected features of the application.
Contract Data Definition (Name) (for category, item, and bid property)	The field is available only in an Emptoris Sourcing – Emptoris Contract Management integrated environment. Search and select an Emptoris Contract Management Data definition field to link the category, item, or bid attribute. Importance (for Question property)	The value indicates the importance of the question. It can be 0-10, where 10 is the most important.
Show Stopper (for Question property)	Makes the field/question a show stopper.
Allow Local Values (for Supplier Profile property)	Makes the field available for buyers to enter local values that may differ from what the supplier enters.
Section (for Supplier Profile property)	Makes the field available in the selected section of the supplier profile.
