Completing the IBM Operational Decision Manager upgrade

After the operator upgrades your deployment of Operational Decision Manager, you might need to do some additional steps to complete the upgrade process.

About this task

After you use the script to upgrade from 21.0.3 to 24.0.0, follow these steps:

Procedure

  1. After Operational Decision Manager is upgraded, remove the openIdWebSecurity.xml and the openIdParameters.properties files from odm_configuration.customization.authSecretRef secrets that are still configured with the older IAM OpenID provider.
The two files are re-created by the operator and correctly configured with the 24.0.0 Zen integration.
  2. Replace the ODM-IAM group mappings that are defined inside the webSecurity.xml file with user and group roles and permissions that are defined through the Zen console.
For more information about setting Zen roles and permissions, see Managing user permissions.
  3. If you use the Decision Center default server configurations that are named Decision Server Execution or Test and Simulation Execution, edit them to use a Zen API key, or delete them and restart the Decision Center pod.
For more information about the configuration with a Zen API key, see Using a Zen API key for authentication.
