Administering IBM Business Automation Navigator

IBM Business Automation Navigator is a browser-based interface that provides your users with a unified experience to work with the business applications that are required to complete their tasks. From the IBM Business Automation Navigator home page, you can provide your users access to business applications built by using Application Designer, dashboards, content features, custom plug-ins, and third-party applications.

Navigator enables a customizable home page that provides your users with an intuitive, accessible interface where they can do these functions:
  • Access all their business applications from one location.
  • Simultaneously start multiple applications.
  • Quickly go between open applications by clicking a tab.
  • Open more applications from the applications menu.
To customize the IBM Business Automation Navigator home page, complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to IBM Business Automation Navigator as an administrator and then open the desktop that you want to customize.
  2. Go to the Appearance tab and specify the various features of the interface, such as the color. You can add a custom logo by using a theme.
  3. In the Layout tab, you can specify the features that you want to make available to your users, such as Browse Content and Search Content.
  4. Save your changes.

If you install IBM FileNet® Content Manager, you can use the extensive features in IBM Business Automation Navigator to accomplish a wide range of business needs, such as:
