Creating a document processing project

Your document processing project consists of document types, data or field types, and methods to extract the desired data. You can use sample documents to establish your document types and the fields values that you want to extract. The system learns your document types and fields.

About this task

Restriction: If you are using the Document Processing tools as part of an evaluation or starter deployment, note that the starter deployment configuration is intended to support only one document processing project. If you attempt to create more than one project, you will encounter an error.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Business Automation Studio and select Automations.
  2. Click Create and select Document Processing Automations from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter a name and description for the project, and click Create.

What to do next

Before you start building your project, configure your connection to the Git server and coordinate with your Git administrator to create a distinct Git repo in the organization for your Document Processing project.
