Backing up and restoring your Business Automation Insights deployment

You might need to back up after an unrecoverable error.

About this task

The Business Automation Insights state is kept in 2 different places.

To be able to restore the Business Automation Insights state, you must back up and restore these 2 places in a consistent manner.

To maintain data consistency, you must back up the Flink states before OpenSearch data.

Create Flink savepoints.

Take OpenSearch snapshots.

For detailed instructions, see Taking and restoring snapshots of OpenSearch data.

You restore in the reverse order.

Restore OpenSearch data from the snapshots.

Restore the Flink state from the savepoints.
