The NPS® data warehouse has three users that are created
by default, admin, histuser,
and histdbowner.
Procedure
- To change the admin password:
- Log in as nz to the NPS virtual machines.
- Use nzsql to change the password:
nzsql system –c "alter user admin with password '<new_password>'"
- Change the password in the NZ_PASSWORD variable
that is defined in /home/nz/.bashrc, or remove NZ_PASSWORD from
that file completely, and use nzpassword command
to securely store new password:
nzpassword add -u admin -pw <new_password>
- To change the histdbowner password:
- Log in as nz to the NPS virtual machines.
- Use nzsql to change the password:
nzsql system –c "alter user histdbowner with password '<new_password>'"
- To change the histuser password:
- Log in as nz to the NPS virtual machines.
- Use nzsql to change the password:
nzsql system –c "set history configuration no_hist"
nzstop
nzstart
nzsql system –c "alter user histuser with password '<new_password>'"
nzsql system –c "alter history configuration all_hist password '<new_password>'"
nzsql system –c "set history configuration all_hist"
nzstop
nzstart
