LT connections
- Authoriser DN
- Requestor DN
- SAG request queue
- SAG queue manager (if required)
- SNL endpoint
For a synonym LT, each LT connection refers to an LT connection of the corresponding master LT and, additionally, specifies a Signer DN.
The values of an LT connection determine the parameters used for a session. If a situation occurs that requires a recovery attempt, the LT attempts to recover the session using a different LT connection, and thereby employs different session parameters. For example, an LT might attempt to recover the session using an LT connection that specifies a different SAG request queue and SNL endpoint, and thereby causes a different SAG to be used.
Each LT connection also specifies whether it is enabled or disabled. You can enable or disable each LT connection individually. Only LT connections that are enabled are used; disabled LT connections are ignored.
- The serial number of the LT connection to be used when establishing a session for the first time
- Under which of the following circumstances an alternative LT connection
is to be tried:
- Session layer open confirmation timeout (inability to establish a session)
- Session layer sequence-gap timeout (a sequence-number gap could not be resolved in time)
- Session layer life signal timeout (too much time elapsed since the last life signal was received)
When first establishing a session, an LT uses the default LT connection that is specified for it. If a situation occurs that requires a recovery attempt, and if that situation is among those specified for the LT, the LT attempts to recover the session using the enabled LT connection with the next higher number. If there is no such LT connection, it continues with the LT connection with the lowest number, thereby cycling through the numbers with each new recovery situation.
You can use the query command to display the serial number of the LT connection that an LT used to establish a session.
